It is cold outside
Dear friends of wine, It is cold out there in the vineyards now. Every once in a while a welcome ray of sun is able to bore its way through the high fog. Other times we need to make do with the warmth from the fire and the hot coffee. This cold is however something valuable to us winegrowers, because it reduces the population of various insects back to "normal size" so that their development will follow the "normal pattern" in the coming spring. Red Damason Reinette and Hawthorn
Dear Winelovers, The second phase of our agroforestry project is now complete. This time we planted some Red Damason Reinette and some Crab Apples, that will be ideal for making cider. In addition we planted some "Schöflibirne", which is a Swiss pear variety (loosly translated as the "pear of the small sheep") and Hawthorn. The apple trees are not all as small the picture above would indicate. We will however for sure need to wait a few years before we can harvest enough a

Alpberg flies First Class
Dear winelovers, I had the pleasure of making my first delivery to the national airline Swiss last Friday. They will serve our Pinot Noir Alpberg in their first class this winter. I would bet this is the first time they serve natural wine above the clouds. We participated in the wine fair BRUT(es) in Mulhouse France last week.
